Niobe - Stone Goddess: This is one of my first pieces in using alternate materials to make marks on the clay surface while building the image. Once the general gesture was captured, I used a stone to make impressions and further detail. It reminded me of how natural rock formations can be personified. This piece is a natural fired clay called coffee.
